Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career at an early age. When she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. Additional Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of important projects in both the US and internationally. Some of these include the British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she is a jury member at two festivals: The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
